Lions Weekly Roundup - Dec. 2, 2018

The Lions were finally able to get in some solid practice this week in preparation for 2 games on the weekend.

The Lions first test was in Oromocto on Saturday night against the Eagles. The Lions didn't bring their high energy, and played an evenly matched game with their opponent. The Eagles found the back of the net 4 times in this one, while Carter Mallais (Cole Doucette, Max Jacobson) and Greg Quigg (Lance Morrison, Blake Langille) scored for the Lions in the 4-2 loss. 

The Lions learned from their mistakes and came to play on Sunday taking on the York North Coyotes at York Arena. The Lions played with a much quicker pace in this game, peppering the Coyote netminder with 44 shots. Dominick Cole and Devin Hanson picked up 2 goals each, assisted by Sam Volpe (2), Blake Langille, and Lance Morrison (2). Greg Quigg and Carter Mallais also joined the scoring action, while Jace Taylor and Max Jacobson assisted.
The Lions defensive squad was very solid in this game, and were much more tidy with the puck in their own end.
