Ducks outlast Blue Jackets

2017-03-07 - Peewee Blue Jackets

Brady Lloy scores and Graydon Mullin-Hachey stands on his head in net but with only 6 skaters, the Blue Jackets run outta gas in comeback attempt and lose Game 1 of the Year-end tournament round-robin.

The Blue Jackets only had 6 skaters and a goalie available for this late scheduled march-break matchup, but the players that were available, gave it all they had.

The Ducks came out flying early as they score their first goal less than a minute into the game. But the Blue Jackets even it up 2 minutes later as #5 Brady Lloy pots his first goal of the game to tie things up  1-1. The Ducks kept up the pressure and score two goals later in the game just 11 seconds apart and they lead 3-1 at the end of the first.

The Blue Jackets brought their intensity in the second period and it pays off as #5 Brady Lloy scores his second of the game early to pull within a goal, but that was all the scoring in the second.

The third period saw lots of action at both ends of the ice, as #31 Grady Mullin-Hachey stopped all the rubber the Ducks threw at him, but the Blue Jackets just didn't have enough gas left in the tank to finish the comeback.

Final:  Blue Jackets - 2  @  Ducks - 3
