DQ started the tournament being outplayed, losing to their first game to league rivals, Slammers 4-2.

Confidence was restored in a convincing win over the Rangers, 9-4.

DQ outplayed the Lions in a back and forth game, goal for goal, until late in the third when the Blizzards pulled ahead 5-3 for the victory.

vs York North Coyotes
Blizzards needed a win or tie to secure their spot in the chamionship game.  York North held DQ to 1-1 halfway through the second period before the flood gates opened up resulting in a 6-2 victory for the Blizzards.

CHAMPIONSHIP vs Woodstock Slammers

It was a fight of the fittest as two battle weary teams took to the ice to play their fifth game in two days with shorten benches.  

The Slammers onslaught was fast and furious in the first. Slammer Mahar plowed through the crease, leaving the DQ goaltender sprawled on the ice and the fans stunned in silence.   Slow to his feet, Wil "The Thrill" Sibbald shook it off and stone-walled the Slammers with DQ leading 3-0 in the first. 

The Blizzards dug deep and found bursts of speed taking advantage of the tiring Slammers.  Veteran d-men led the way with offensive attacks, end-to-end rushes, and bullets from the point.  With penalties and goals racking up in the second, DQ maintained the lead 5-2 heading into the third period.

Blizzards continued their offensive attack and stormed the Slammers net winning scramble after scramble in the third period.  DQ Blizzards capture the championship banner with a final score of 8-3 over Woodstock Slammers!
