Road to the Playoffs

2017-02-03 - DQ Blizzards


The Blizzards are racking up points on the road to the Atom Competitive Playoffs.

The Blizzards have collected points from each of the three games played leading to the playoffs.  Coach Willy Cook stated, "The Blizzards prevailed in keeping our AA playoff hopes alive!...We can no longer afford to sleep our way through two periods of hockey and expect to be successful... Everyone needs to come to the rink READY TO PLAY."

Wildcats vs. DQ
Nothing but donuts and bagels in a goaltending battle resulting in 0-0 tie versus the Wildcats.  Hardest Worker honours to Wil Sibbald.  1 point.

DQ vs. Lions
An intense game of give and go in the 5-5 tie against the Lions.  Anderson Burns netted 2 goals earning him the distinguished Hardest Worker accolade.  1 point.

DQ vs. Coyotes
Blizzards with a strong finish in the 7-2 victory over York North Coyotes. Riley Partington was solid between the pipes and receives the coveted hard hat for her efforts.  2 points.
