Petitcodiac Tournament Nov 25th - 27th

Kanucks Bring Home 2^nd Silver Medal

Kanucks headed to Petitcodiac for their second tournament of the year. The boys came out to play hockey !!

First game against Kent Center the Kanucks won 3-2 with Cohan Donald getting 2 goals, both assisted by Alexander Hill. Luke Kyle got the 3^rd goal assisted by Owen Graham.

Game 2 against Shediac the Kanucks won 5-3 with Jacob Hannay getting the 1^st goal assisted by Max Hay, 2^nd goal was Max Hay assisted by Jacob Hannay and Carter Sturgeon, 3^rd goal was Carter Sturgeon assisted by Olivier Benoit, 4^th and 5^th goal was Owen Graham assisted by Luke Kyle and Rhys Jones.

Game 3 was against Petitcodiac. Petitcodiac had to win in order to make it to the Championship game. They gave it all they had and even though the Kanucks played hard they lost 4-2. Jacob Hannay and Alexander Hill both got a goal assisted by Max Hay.

So the Kanucks were meeting the home team of Petitcodiac Flyers again for the Championship game on Sunday. The Kanucks knew that after their last game they needed to come out strong and hard to get the lead against the Flyers in order to go home with the Gold... It was a fast paced game where it went back and forth with the Flyers, it was tied 3-3 at the beginning of the 3^rd period, the Kanucks had to give it their all during the 3^rd period as they had a few short handed shifts. The spectators were sure this game was going into OT but the Flyers managed to get a goal with 29 sec left on the clock. Even though there was less than 30 sec the Kanucks didn't give up until the buzzer went. Unfortunately they weren't able to get another goal. The boys were still proud of the way they played because they had worked hard right to the end. Jacob Hannay scored the 1^st goal assisted by Brayden Snowdon and Olivier Benoit. Carter Sturgeon scored the other 2 goals, one assisted by Cohan Donald and 1 unassisted.

Way to go Kanucks !!! Silver Medal Champions !!
