Game #2 for the PeeWee Mighty Ducks was against the Blues on Wednesday evening at the O'Ree. The Blues came in sporting a 2-0 record on the season, and we had a good idea of what we were in for.
Enter The Dude.
Emma 'The Dude' Hume stopped a reported 56 shots in a 4-2 loss. The score was 2-1 until about 1 minute left in the 3rd period. Scotty the Bulldog Durepos did what he does best, and grinded in the tying goal. Two quick breakaways in the final minute sealed the win for the Blues.
Whatever, the Ducks played their hearts out, and this left the coaching staff smiling large! Our forward lines were clicking, and our defensive lines were moving the puck well, and taking point shots. No long faces in our room.
Player of the game went to the Dude for standing on her head, and essentially being a ninja in net against a high powered Blues offense! Ducks are back in action on Sunday, and we KNOW we will be ready to bring it!!!!
