Six great teams participated in the Florenceville tournament this past weekend.

The Ice Dogs hit the ice for their first game Friday afternoon against the Stanley Bulldogs. The two teams were well matched but the start of the third period showed the Bulldogs in the lead with a score of 5-2. In the last 5 minutes, the Ice Dogs goalie was pulled and the Ice Dogs sunk one more in the net for a final score of 5-3 for the Bulldogs.
Saturday morning brought the Ice Dogs face-to-face with Carleton County. With a loss fresh in their minds, the Ice Dogs pulled together and gave it their all, never letting up for a moment. Final score was 8-0 for the Ice Dogs.
Keswick Valley Stars was next up for the Ice Dogs. While the goals for both teams seemed to add up evenly in the first two periods, the Ice Dogs jumped ahead in the third period for a win and final score of 7-4.
Unfortunately, four points was just not enough for the Ice Dogs to move on from their division to the semis.
Jacob Hogan, Sam Curtis and Yannick Richard were named Players of the Game. Every Ice Dog that stepped on the ice played their very best. Well played team!!
