Major Senators Await Player of the Game Announcement and Medal Ceremony
The Wendy's FYHA Novice Major Senators went 3-0 in tournament play, with a strong display of teamwork.
The Wendy's FYHA Novice Major Senators went 3-0 in tournament play, with a strong display of teamwork throughout.
In addition to great goaltending, plus strong defensive play by both defense and forwards, the Senators displayed a balanced offense. Seven different players scored goals at this initial tournament. The Senators also showed an improved ability in terms of positional play and passing to set up much of this offense and this was evident on the score-sheets with nine different players tallying assists during the tournament.
Combined with the team bonding that occurs with an early season tournament, plus the team meal between games 1 and 2, this tournament should be considered a success all around.
