On Game 2 of the Woodstock Novice Tournament, the Wendy's FYHA Novice Major Senators took on the Woodstock Ice Hogs of Woodstock Minor Hockey.Following their team lunch, on Game 2 of the Woodstock Novice Tournament, the Wendy's FYHA Novice Major Senators took on the Woodstock Ice Hogs of Woodstock Minor Hockey.
In a fast-paced, back-and-forth game featuring outstanding goaltending on both sides, the determined defensive play the Sens are known for, as well as tough fore-checking and back-checking, the Sens skated to a 6-2 victory over their Woodstock opponents. Goals were scored by #3 Justin (5), with a single added by #13 Carter, assisted by #5 Peyton.
Player of the Game recipient was #7 Sam, Hustler Award went to #10 Matt (both awards chosen by coaching staff of Woodstock Ice Hogs), and the Hard Hat Award recipient (chosen by Sens coaching staff) went to #16 Nayan for his hard work on defense throughout the game.
The Sens are set up for Game 3 tomorrow vs the Carleton Coyotes.
