FYHA Summer Hockey is Back! Registration set to open next week for FYHA members. See below for details...

FYHA is very excited to announce that summer hockey will be back for the 2014 season! This program is being designed to bring together players of both recreational and competitive calibers to play in a relaxed, safe, and FUN hockey environment.
 
The goal is to have four teams at each age group (Novice through Midget). All teams will play 10 hockey games over a 7-week period. There are no practices.

Quick Facts
Ø Cost: $109.00 per player (taxes incl.)
Ø Dates: The program will begin on June, 30th and will run through August 17, 2014
 
Ice times will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting at 5:15pm. There will be an occasional Saturday or Sunday ice time but the majority of times will fall during the week.
 
Ø This will be a Fair Play program. All players will receive fair opportunity for time and there are will no win/loss standings or scoring races.
Ø The program will be open to minor hockey players from Fredericton, Oromocto, Tri-County, York North (Keswick Valley & Stanley), Grand Lake and Doaktown. Players must have been registered with a minor hockey association during the 2013-2014 winter season.
 
The program is open to all players who played this past winter on Comp C (recreational), Comp B, Comp A, and Comp AA teams. Sorry, the program is not open to AAA players at this time.

Spots will be filled by FYHA players only during the first week of registration.
Beginning Monday, April 21nd, openings will be filled by players from surrounding communities.
Week #1 - Monday, April 14th until Friday, April 18th
Week #2 - Monday, April 21st until Friday, April 25th

Ø Uniforms will be provided by FYHA
Ø Teams will be selected via draft by the coaches and league executive. The league executive, in consultation with coaches, will move players around to balance the teams as required.
Ø Games will be officiated by certified officials.
Ø Full body contact is not allowed. Slap shots are permitted.
Ø Three goal scoring rule is in effect: If a player scores a fourth goal in any one game, it will result in a penalty and the goal will not count. There is no limit on assists!!
