Lions Weekly Roundup - Nov. 25, 2018

The Bantam Lions Club Lions had a very busy week. Fresh off their Gold Medal win in the 'AA' Maritime Fall Classic tournament in Saint John, they played their first 3 league games this week.

The Lions faced off against the Swifty's Capitals on Tuesday night. Although the Lions were outshot in this one, the Capitals came up against a very hot goaltender in Henry Mason, stopping 31 of 32 shots, while Lance Morrison, Dominick Cole, and Tyler Stewart were able to find the back of the net to help the Lions come away with a 3-1 win.

Back on the ice again on Thursday night, the Lions took on the Oromocto Eagles. The Lions had more than 3 times the number of shots against the Eagles in this one, but unfortunately they were the ones that struggled to get it past the Eagles net minder, dropping the game 2-1 with Sam Volpe picking up the lone goal for the Lions.

The Lions then travelled to Oromocto on Saturday night sporting their flashy new track suits & uniforms, and played another strong game against the Eagles. This time the Lions were able beat the Eagle goalie as Greg Quigg showed his dominance by scoring twice and Cole Vautour snapped one in off the draw for a 3-1 victory.
