Blizzard Warning in Effect! DQ Blizzards Champs in Dieppe.

Huge congrats to the DQ Blizzards for capturing the banner in Dieppe this past weekend. The FYHA Board of Directors, parents and coaches are very proud!
The DQ Blizzards won the Atom A banner at the 42nd Annual Dieppe-Memramcook Tournament, in convincing fashion with a 3-1 victory over the Oromocto Eagles.
The Blizzards went 3-0 in the round robin, defeating the Miramichi Wild (4-0), Riverview Blues (7-0) and North River (PEI) AA Flames (6-1). This earned DQ a berth in the semis as the #1 seed.
In the semi-final, the Blizzards dispatched another Island AA team, the Pownal Red Devils, by a score of 4-1. And in the gold medal match-up, DQ downed league rival Oromocto 3-1.
This was the Blizzards first tournament win of the season and they're happy to be bringing the banner home to Fredericton.
